MOOD on Instagram

The last weeks have been jam packed with MOOD (that is outside of the regular 9-5). We have been emailing potential stockists (and have been getting a lot of great responses...more news on that later), planning a launch party with our friends at Pimpinelle, planning issue 2 and a lot more. I have also been dedicating more thought to our Instagram account, trying to document more and more of what we are doing and hoping to get some more followers (hint hint)! My new trick is to use the VSCO app and upload them to our account from there. The app's filters are a bit more subtle than Instagram's, which I like a lot. Anyways I will try to post some more non-MOOD related things in the coming days, but I have to say it's pretty hard to think about anything else!

Disappearing act

This morning I stopped by the Midi market and picked up lots of goodies. These huge red strawberries were too gorgeous to pass up, along with some really pretty (and cheap) tulips. I was reminded of how much I enjoy Spring in Belgium (even though the weather is less than Spring-y) and am looking forward to more Sunday mornings spent buying fresh fruits, veggies and flowers.

Oh Malice!

Axelle of Oh Malice reached out to Mario and I a while back about MOOD and we finally met up with her this weekend (for coffees at Barbeton, of course). She is a food design master's student in Brussels and is into all things food related. Her blog is packed full of gorgeous photos from her studies, her life here in Brussels and her magazine, Alphabeta - which she works on with a team of 10 people. We are really looking forward to collaborating with her on MOOD stuff in the future. For now, here are some photos from a recent post of her's.

(3.17.13) LAST WEEK I...

...took a walk around Ixelles and discovered this funny little vintage store, got MOOD into the coolest shop in Brussels - Hunting and Collecting, saw Yo La Tengo at the AB, had arancini at Bar Bik, worked on MOOD goodies for our Kickstarter supporters and had some store bought tortilla de Espana at home with Mario.

MOOD magazine - it's here!

The day we've been waiting for has finally arrived! A lot of hard work went into this thing and it's pretty exciting to see the finished product. Honestly I thought it would be a HUGE relief when the magazines arrived, but instead staring at that huge pile of magazines in our living room is stressing me out! Basically there is just as much work ahead of us as there is behind us. And we are going to start working on issue 2! WOAH. Anyways I'm pretty proud. If you want to buy it, you can! Here.

To the wonder

I am waiting with bated breath for this Terrence Malick film to be released. The trailer gives me chills.

Lola Donoghue

I've been loving these gorgeous paintings by Lola Donoghue. The colors are perfectly sweet and modern at the same time. Enjoy a pretty in depth post about her on the etsy blog here.

3D Type

These super cool, futuristc-y designs come from Peter Tarka. He is a designer in Wroclaw, Poland with a rich portfolio (especially for his mere 21 years!). Take a look at all of his work here, and be prepared to be impressed!

MOOD. In print. This week.

We are in the final final stages of printing our first issue of MOOD! Here are some images from the latest proof, just missing the binding! The big delivery is happening this week, and I cannot wait. Seriously.

If you want to order your copy, you can! Here.

Ann Street Studio

Ann Street Studio is a duo creating "cinemagraphs" - not quite videos, not quite photos. They are animated gifs, but on another level. Isolating portions of images and creating movement in only small parts of the picture, they make you appreciate the minuscule details. You'll get lost on their site. I did.

Fleurs

The sun is out and the smell of flowers will soon be in the air! I've been pinning a lot of these types of images lately on my fleurs board.

Dreaming of Iceland

I'm hoping to take a trip to Iceland this summer. I mean...LOOK how beautiful this place is!
